S1:Ep5 - The Financial Philosophy (Who is in Charge?)

Raymond House Financial Coaching Season 1 Episode 5

We all have one, and it changes with us during the various stages of life that we all go through.  Here are the 6 principles that I reference in this episode....

  1. Build you budget starting with income, and funding your needs until all the income is consumed
  2. Live on less than you earn
  3. Prioritize the 4 walls (as outlined in Financial Peace University)
  4. Get the whole family involved in decisions (singles find friends and family that will support your goals)
  5. Goal Setting - Set goals that align with your values and actions that align with your goals
  6. If there is something in your life that is causing you to stumble or revert to bad habits…..remove it from your life (this is sometimes a scary or difficult thing to do, but it is necessary to continue to grow and improve your financial & emotional fitness)

I strongly encourage you to start identifying your personal financial philosophy and ensure that your goals align with your values and your actions align with your goals.
